There is no access by train and with little parking, it is one of the few places along the sea shielded from mass tourism, especially in the evening when the day visitors leave. Its often overshadowed by the Cinque Terre but equally enchanting.

2) Visiting the 13th-century Church of St. Peter.Peter’s Basilica, present basilica of St. Peter in Vatican City (an enclave in Rome), begun by Pope Julius II in 1506 and completed in 1615 under Paul V. It is designed as a three-aisled Latin cross with a dome at the crossing, directly above the high altar, which covers the shrine of St. Peter the Apostle.


3) Hiking to the Byron’s Grotto for a poetic experience.Byron’s Cave is a natural marvel nestled between the castle walls and St. Peter’s Church in Portovenere. This enchanting cavity delves 20 meters deep into the rocky terrain, creating a captivating and well-known attraction within the town.
